When does NYSC registration start?

Can I choose my state of deployment?

No. NYSC no longer allows Prospective Corps Members to choose their preferred state of deployment. Posting is centrally assigned.

What documents are required for registration?

For Nigerian graduates, common requirements include:

For foreign-trained graduates, common requirements include:

What is the NYSC Senate List?

My name is not on the Senate List. What should I do?

Contact your school’s Student Affairs Division or the appropriate office in your institution immediately. NYSC does not upload names directly; institutions do.

What is mobilization?

Mobilization is the process through which institutions submit qualified graduates to NYSC for national service.

How do I check my state of deployment?

Log in to the NYSC portal and use the option to print your Call-Up Letter. That document shows your state of deployment.

Can I change my state after deployment?

Yes. State change is usually done through relocation (redeployment), based on accepted reasons such as medical, marital, or security grounds. Applications are commonly made during or after orientation camp.

Can I swap states with someone?

No. NYSC does not allow swapping of states between Prospective Corps Members.

How long is orientation camp?

Orientation camp lasts for 21 days, which is about three weeks.
